FSA steps up capital deposit requirements for local subsidiaries of foreign banks

According to reports, since 2007 the Financial Services Authority has only allowed four banks to open branches in the UK which rely on parent company capital. Fourteen new subsidiaries and six new UK only banks have been approved.
